The Derby Arms

Couldn’t have asked for a better 2 night break. The location of the pub is perfect for some lovely rural walks and is also opposite a fab little garden centre and tea rooms which is worth a browse. We had a family room, which was spacious, well decorated and clean. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, the food was incredible with an extensive menu and great options for gluten free. Lastly but certainly not least a massive thank you to Jason who served us whilst we dined over the 2 nights. Jason went above and beyond to explain the menu options for any allergies, ensuring that we had great food, wine and a fantastic experience. What a credit to the pub you are. Thank you

i dont normally give a full star rasting to any places i visit as there is usually scope for improvement. my wife and i stayed over for one night to save early morning traffic for opur dogs appointment at the vet. the staff/ team , all of them, could not have been more helpful. genuinely decent people. the bed was massive and comforfortable. the food was excellent and i can honestkly say we were both delighted how happy we were to enjoy this mini type of break. even our beautiful dog, Penny, settled really well. the location is nice with a lovely view from the car park. just a good old fashioned English traditional pub. well done, worth every penny. the ultimate bonus is that they are dog friendly

A gorgeous pub in a stunning location with beautiful food and wonderful service. The prices are great too, and there was a very friendly atmosphere. I will definitely be coming again! Leaving the rooms five stars so as to not leave any negative review but I didn’t stay over here so not sure what the rooms are like.

We are regular guests at The Derby Arms, and for us visiting always almost feels like coming home! The food is always very good and staff pfriendy and professional. We just love the great atmosphere inside and the scenic location. During our last visit there was a great life performence of a guitarist in the pub of the Derby

We held my mum’s wake here, it was perfect. The staff were wonderful, the food was fantastic and the setting is gorgeous. Andy and the team really looked after us, from the initial booking to the day itself - thankyou so much

Fantastic new menu, staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was beautifully cooked. Beer and wine were superb. Great parking and comfy large bedroom with powerful shower. Quiet during the night. Highly recommend

Afternoon Guys, Thanks again for the accommodation, food and hospitality las night, all of the aforementioned were first rate. As someone who stays away a lot with work it was a great find and definite one to keep in the address book for next time I’m in the area. We came for dinner on Valentine's Day and it was fantastic. The service was great, the staff were so attentive and friendly. The food was good quality, big portions and we were all very happy - and full! We love the selection of different drinks on the bar.

Room was clean and well appointed. Plenty of Towels, Toilet Paper & Tea/Coffee etc. Food was of a high quality - both breakfast & evening meal. Staff were attentive , friendly providing great service

Honestly fantastic! I have very specific food allergies they went above and beyond to accommodate me! The food was beautiful I had sea bass, vegetables and roast potatoes. I’ve been to other restaurants and the food was bland as a result to menu alterations, my meal was perfectly seasoned and fresh. 10/10! Thank you for such lovely staff and amazing food.
